AF492: Small Nupe Post

A small old Nupe post from a ceremonial alter. The stacked cubistic forms have a good dark patina from age libations and use. The bottom section is eroded from being stuck into the ground.     

22 1/2" Tall by 3 1/2" Wide. Early 20th century, Nigeria and Niger Africa.
