A rare Northern Philippine gong handle with two heads, from the KanKanay peoples. From each side there looks to be a woman on left side with long hair, and then on the right side a man with a helmet. The two holes for suspending the brass gong have a lot of wear, and the patina is good and dark from age and use. Previously in the collection of Irwin Hersey the author of the book "Indonesian Primitive Art". 3 1/2" Wide by 1 1/2" Tall . 19th century, Southern Philippines . Sold
