OC431: Mendi War Shield

Mendi war shield with natural pigment paint. This shield has a concave/convex shape with a raised central ridge that makes a spike at the top. There are two arrow tips embedded into the front surface.    

49" Tall by 14 1/2" Wide. Early to mid 20th century, New Guinea.
