AS620: Nuosuo Yi Rice Pot

A fine Nuosuo Yi Lacquer on wood rice container. These lidded vessels were for high ranking families to be used with guests and rituals. They are made out of wood and decorated with a thick and hard lacquer surface with black, red, and yellow natural pigments.     

Previously in the collection of Acher Eskenasy, Paris France.
