OC581: Solomon Island Shield

A simple but rare Solomon Islands shield. The whole construction is made of reeds and intricately woven thin rattan. The original handle is intact and finely woven. There is some loss to the thin binding and edges, but the shield is mostly intact and complete. The overall patin is very good from age and use.
