PH762: Philippine "Kupit" Basket

A rare small Bontoc "Kupit" woven rattan purse / bag with four separate pieces and three compartments. One is for tobacco and implements for smoking, one for personal items or a lunch as well as a small secret compartment for valuables. The patina is good from much age and use.    

10" long by 4.5" wide and 7" tall. Early 20th century, Luzon, Northern Philippines.
