OC552: Aboriginal Shield

A good quality Aboriginal Australian beanwood fighting shield from the Central Desert Area. Carved from a single piece of wood with wrap around wings and fluted surface decorations on the front and back sides. Retaining the original natural orange pigment color, with a good overall patina and signs of use and age.    

Previously in the collection of Tad Dale, Santa Fe.
