INDO610: Toraja Door

A fine and rare interior door from the Sa-dan Toraja peoples of Sulawesi. The patina is dark from years of smoke and handling. The majestic water buffalo head is well carved and has a rattan loop going through the nose. Mounted on a customer metal base.     

35" Tall by 23" Wide. 19th century or earlier, Sulawesi. Indonesia.
