AS439: Great Lakes Bandolier Bag

Bandolier bag front from the Great Lakes region made of very fine small bead work. Bandolier bag were used as status symbols and as trade items including gift giving ceremonies. They were made by the Menominee or Ojibwe in the Great Lakes region in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, but were also traded to other tribes.
